The U.S. government reversed course yesterday y and Fable 5 will be back tomorrow (albeit with a tightened safeguard).
Anthropic hasn't been alone in the US Government’s crosshairs. OpenAI's GPT-5.6 is also stuck in a holding pattern — Washington asked them to stagger the launch and approve access customer by customer, pushing the public release into July.
